GE Fleet Services is the market leader with more than 1,200,000 lease vehicles in Canada, USA, Mexico, Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. With the aquisition of Avis Fleet Services GE started vehicle lease operations in Europe. From the beginning in 1992 our fleet increased to 222.000 cars.
GE announced on 4 August 2004 that it will relinquish its right to use the Avis Fleet Services brand name by the end of 2004. The new name for our corporate car leasing and management activities will be 'GE Capital Solutions, Fleet Services'. This change, which will clearly align all of our worldwide operations, will also eliminate the customer confusion that has resulted from the use of multiple brand names.
GE has establishments in 11 different European countries and agreements of cooperation in other European countries.
GE Fleet Services in ’s-Hertogenbosch
Avis Fleet Services started operations on September 1st, 1996 and since then its fleet has increased considerably. Apart from this, ARO Lease was acquired on June 20th, 1997, which increased our fleet to 9,000 cars and assured us of a top 10 position in the Dutch lease market. The current fleet has exceeds 11.000 vehicles. From 2002 until 2004 we were operating under the name of Avis Fleet Services, per januari 1st 2005, we will be known as GE Fleet Services
In the Netherlands GE Fleet Services is established in 's-Hertogenbosch and has 80 employees. GE Fleet Services works with account teams that have their own portfolio of customers. This approach guarantees a purely customer-oriented organisation, giving concrete meaning to terms such as service and quality.
