If the lease contract includes a replacement vehicle when necessary, you may obtain a rental car while your lease car is being repaired. However, depending on the contract, if the repair can be undertaken within 24-hours the cost will have to be met by the driver. You are also entitled to a replacement vehicle from the time that your own vehicle is unable to move under its own power as a result of an accident or mechanical failure that cannot be repaired on the spot, or if it is stolen.
